1

Arrival
to Lima. Reception and transfer to the hotel.
(14:30) Tour some of Lima's main colonial sites: The Cathedral,
"Plaza Mayor" (main square), Government, Archbishop,
and Torre Tagle Palaces. Afterwards, drive through Lima's
modern residential areas: San Isidro with its olive grove,
golf course, and "Huaca Huallamarca"; and Miraflores
with its central park, "Parque del Amor", and
ocean views. |

2
LIMA/CUZCO |
Breakfast.
(04:00) Transfer to the airport. Departure with Aerocontinente
1141 (06:00/07:00) flight to Cuzco. Upon arrival, reception
and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the morning at leisure
to become acclimatized to the altitude.
In the afternoon, a tour of the city including: the "Plaza
de Armas" (main square), The Cathedral, Santo Domingo
Church (Koricancha), and the surrounding ruins of Puka
Pukara, Kenko, Tampu Machay and the renowned fortress
and religious site of Sacsayhuaman. |

3
CUZCO / PISAC / OLLANTAYTAMBO / CUZCO (Tuesday / Thursday
/ Sunday) |
Breakfast.
Excursion to the village of Pisac located 32 Kms. (20
miles) from Cuzco and shopping at the colorful Indian
market. Lunch in Urubamba, followed by a tour of the town
and fortress of Ollantaytambo located in the Sacred Valley
of the Incas. |

4
CUZCO / MACHU PICCHU / CUZCO |
Breakfast.
Transfer to train station. A scenic 3 and a half hour
train trip through the Urubamba Valley, followed by a
30-minute bus ride up to the breathtaking Lost City of
the Incas, Machu Picchu. Guided tour through the ruins.
After lunch at Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge, return to
Cuzco and transfer to the hotel. |
Day
5
CUZCO/PUNO |
Breakfast.
Transfer to the station. Departure by bus to Puno visiting
on the way Piquillacta, Andahuaylillas and Raqchi with
its temple to the God Viracocha. Box lunch included. Upon
arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. |
Day
6
PUNO / JULIACA / LIMA |
Breakfast.
In the morning, visit to the floating "totora"
islands of the Uro Indians, ancient inhabitants of Lake
Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Tour,
when available, the English 1862 motorboat Yavari.
In the afternoon, transfer to Juliaca's airport. Departure
with Aerocontinente 1172 (15:00/17:15) flight to Lima.
Upon arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. |
