will enter various mountainous indigenous communities and
will discover the oldest markets of this region. We will
also take an excursion on horseback or on mountain bikes
and will travel through unique landscapes. ITINERARY
This trip takes us through the most beautiful spots in the
Ecuadorian Andes.

ITINERARY
| Day
1 |
Quito
-Saquisilí Market - Chugchilán
Early in the morning we will travel south along the
"Avenue of Volcanoes" towards Saquisili
where we will visit a colorful indigenous market.
We continue our trip along a winding highway as we
cross through colorful Andean landscapes and eventually
arrive in the small town of Chugchilán. In
the afternoon we have free time to take a stroll in
the surrounding area or visit a local cheese factory.
We will spend the night in the rustic and cozy Black
Sheep Inn. |

2 |
Quilotoa
Lagoon
On a curvy road with a spectacular view of the Toachi
Canyon, we will head to the picturesque Quilotoa Lagoon.
There is an optional ascent to view the lagoon, returning
on mules. Later we will take a 4-5 hour walk with
a native guide through the Toachi Canyon and will
return later to Chugchilán. We will spend the
night in the Black Sheep Inn. |

Zumbahua
- Cotopaxi Refuge
At dawn we will leave for Zumbahua, where every Saturday
one of Ecuador's oldest indigenous markets is held.
We will see llamas carrying the market purchases to
the Indigenous farmers' homes. Today we will continue
our trip to Latacunga and Cotopaxi National Park.
In our vehicle we will climb to an altitude of 4.500
meters. From here we will walk 45 minutes to the Jose
Ribas Refuge located at 4,800 meters. Not far from
the refuge there is a glacial crack on Cotopaxi volcano
(5,897 meters) which we will be able to admire. At
dusk we will arrive at Volcano Land, a beautiful house
located on private property. |

Cotopaxi
National Park
We will walk through Andean cattle ranchers' property,
known as the "Chagras", and through the
most picturesque landscapes that Ecuador has to offer,
including scenic paramos that surround the sleepy
Rumiñahui Volcano (4.700metros). An alternative
option is to go trekking around Rumiñahui Volcano
or mountain bike around the National Park. We will
spend another night at Volcano Land. |

Cotopaxi National Park - Quito
In the morning we will go to the Santa Rita Property
located at the foot of Pasochoa (4,200 meters). |
